ECO (Environmental and Conservation Organization of Henderson County, NC) is organizing a Carrotmob at the Green Room Cafe and Coffeehouse, 536 North Main Street, Hendersonville on Wednesday, April 10 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Green Room Cafe plans to create a greener community by using the proceeds as start-up funds to regularly offer meals that include local, organic produce.
Campaign Impact
The owners have committed to including local and/or organic menu items on a regular basis, and the Carrotmob proceeds will be used for start-up funds for this. For the mob event, the menu included several recipes that included local, organic gold potatoes and sweet potatoes. They also had locally-roasted organic coffee.
